Summary
We are a Computer and Network Consultancy, providing IT Support and Advice to small and medium businesses in the southeast, mostly Essex and Suffolk.
We can provide ad-hoc support, or regular support agreements, remotely or on-site. We tend to focus on Essex and Suffolk as our office is in Ipswich and we like to maintain an onsite presence with our regular customers.
We are very flexible on how we charge for regular support agreements. We can charge on an as-and-when basis, or work to a fixed monthly amount, if you prefer to smooth out the peaks and troughs.
We aim to become your IT department, where we are involved in all IT decisions and resolve all IT issues. However, if you have some in-house IT expertise, we can work with them and provide second or third-line support, as many in-house IT technicians’ experience is limited to what they encounter on your site.
As a small business owner, managing IT issues yourself can be very frustrating, as support provided by third parties (such as software developers or hardware manufacturers) will only assist with their own software or hardware. You can easily get caught in the ping-pong as third parties blame each other. At Bishop Consultancy, we take ownership of problems, and work with third parties to see them to resolution.
We also work with our customers to reduce the need for reactive IT support, by providing good, timely advice, and installing and maintaining the right equipment, properly. Downtime usually affects a company’s performance, which can be expensive, so reducing downtime is a priority. We are a small business ourselves, so we understand the conflict between reliability, security, performance and cost, and work with our customers to find the appropriate balance.
We pride ourselves in our ability to explain IT matters to our customers in plain English, so they can make informed decisions.
